Based in New York City, Langalo is a woman-owned small business with big dreams.
Since 2007, our language services have helped individuals, government agencies, and companies of all sizes achieve their goals by servicing all their language needs.​ We started by focusing on providing language solutions to attorneys and law firms.
Today we also offer translation, interpretation and educational services to educational and medical institutions, non-profit organizations, news corporations, and other leading companies in New York.​ We provide translation services in over 100 languages, including document translation, certified translation for legal, medical, and educational purposes, and website translation services.​

Langalo further provides evaluation of foreign academic credentials and work experience for immigration and education purposes. We offer an array of linguistic research services, including text analysis, bilingual skills assessment, and forensic linguistics.

We also offer court and medical interpretation services and onsite medical interpretation training for bilingual hospital staff.

Meet Langalo's
Co-Founder and Managing Director
Rocio Raña Risso, Ph.D.
Dr. Raña Risso has over 20 years of experience in the translation, interpretation, and education industries.​ She holds a Ph.D. in Linguistics and a Master's in Translation from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY), and has additional degrees in English, Spanish, and French Translation and Interpretation.

Besides being the co-founder and director of Langalo Inc., Dr. Raña Risso is a Research Associate at the Research Institute for the Study of Language in Urban Society (RISLUS) at the Graduate Center (CUNY), and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUNY.
Since 2002, Dr. Raña Risso has taught courses in Translation, Medical Interpretation, Spanish, Medical Spanish, and Linguistics at the NYU School of Medicine, Hunter College (CUNY), and Queens College (CUNY).
In 2011, she earned a translation certification from the American Translators Association (ATA), affirming her personal excellence in the field.
